Hi, I have a Buck Yachtsman that I have had for many years. Recently the main spring broke. On the Buck forum it was suggested that is was made by Camillus and it is identical to a Camillus I have (except for scales). I am looking for someone that can replace the main spring or someone that has a broken Buck Yachtsman on Camillus as a donor knife.

Thanks

I thought Buck knives have a lifetime warranty. If so, send it back to Buck for repair.

Buck honors their warranty but cannot fix knives they no longer have parts for. In that case they will offer you a substitute knife - great way of continuing the warranty service but it won't help you get a specific obsolete knife repaired by them. OH

Hi,
I have a Yachtsman the the main spring for the blade broke. I sent it to Buck and they said; "discontinued model, no parts available for repair" and replaced it with a 112. Know anyone that could repair my yachtsman?

You can probably get a used cheaper than or for the same price as getting it fixed. Post on the Want to Buy forum. Bill Deshivs does good work and can make a spring to fit.
