I have a 110 2dot with 3 small brass handle pins which I believe makes it a 1977 Buck. Would a 2 dot 112 with 3 small brass pins also be from 1977?

Welcome to the Buck forum.
There are two stickies higher on the page with text files outlining the 110 and 112 variations.
The one labeled 110/112 data sheet is actually just for the 110. The 112 data file is below.
If you can't figure it out from there then pictures would help.

DeSotoSky DeSotoSky thanks for the response. I did take a look at the stickies and appears it would be a variant 6 74-80. I was just wondering if it could be narrowed in any better than that. No pics because I haven't purchased the 112 yet.
 
Some others with more knowledge than myself will surely wade in but I think you are trying for more specificity than may be possible in that era.
External information such as a box or paperwork sometimes helps with an individual item.
 
You will notice the lack of a Nail Nick on the two older bottom knives. I forget the year they added that feature. I have it written down but little nuances like that can help narrow the date down.
