hey everyone, i see a lot of posts about,,,, the BUCKBENZAanywho, i realize its just a buck 560 with a bg42 blade. how are people getting the blades changed, is it expensive? whats that thing thats making it one handed opening? is it the same size as the buck 110? how much does it weigh?

Its starting to look like the tough part is finding the 560. So factor in that cost, lets say $60-80, maybe less on EBay. Then the cost to have the blade switched, which is $35 for BG-42. Then just get the one arm bandit. The length of the knife is the same as the 110, and the blade is the exact blade tha thte 110 uses. the handle is not as thick is the difference. I dont know the weight.

And in order to have the blade changed you mail the knife to Joe Houser at Buck Knives.

You screw it on the knife and you're all set. Do a search for it here . In the search field type in: MI129. There's two sizes but this one's the right one. I'm gettin' mine this saturday for 40:D . Plus 10% off;) . Good luck!

They talked about redoing the design for a clip, but then it was cancelled. Kydex wont work cause of the holes in the side. but I bet that Lifter could work up a cool leather sheath for these.

hows the bulk on it? im not into carrying knives in sheats, pocket, pocket clip, Neck?

Since it's made out of Ti, it should be lighter than the original 110. It's also slightly thinner than the 110, I think.

That Ti one is nice! We have had a couple, the price sure is right on them. paul
