Hi all here is one that I completed recently. I have yet to get the sheath done. This is my damascus that is a mix of crushed W's and random pattern welded and a ladder pattern pressed in and flattened back out. The handle is a stabilized Buckeye Burl with a stabilized Black Ash Burl and black G10 spacer. The guard is stainless as well is the through nut showing on the back. This is the 5th knife I have made with a threaded tang and a stainless nut holding it together. I am addicted to this type of construction now. Let me know what you think. Thanks to all for looking and have a great day.

Best Regards,
Burton Harruff

well, since you asked;
I like the funky drop on the spine of the knife, but feel the ricasso isn't wide enough for the handle. The handle looks a little blocky to me, especially near the butt. Adding a gentle concave radius to the top of the handle where the heel of the hand sits might be an improvement.
I think the shiny guard makes a knife which is kind of busy already, a little too busy, and that it would look better blued. Guard looks a little pointy too, but it's hard to tell from the pics.
It's a pretty good lookin knife, though. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Lorien I appreciate the comments for improvements. I will take these on advise. I like to know what others see. I have a thick skin. The blade is a bit more radical than I usually make but I think it turned out good. I agree the ricasso needs to be a wider, it did get a bit narrow while forging. I think I will modify the handle shape a bit. Thanks again and thanks to all for looking. -Burton

I think the whole design comes together nicely, the handle shape and material looks nice and comfortable to me. I like the way you ground the stainless nut flush. As far as the ricasso, I like a longer ricasso so you could have your index finger in that space, especially if it's a field use knife and your field dressing game. I like the damascus pattern you created. A very nice knife!

I looked at your site, I like your style!

I like all the materials, great wood, Damascus, fit and finish look good, but I'm with Loren in that the ricasso is to thin and the handle a little fat. Nice knife overall, you should be proud!
