A while back I picked up a Bucklite with a 112 blade with a year 2000 date code. Orange .

Well, I know it isn't a 112, and know how Buck has swapped in blades for different knives, like the 110 blade that shows up in the 560's.

Question is.... What in the true number of this critter. Just not that familiar with the Bucklites. This one is just like a 112 but plastic handles. Orange at that. And the sheath is nylon and sized to the 112. A 110 won't fit in it. Well it will but the flap won't close.

I was surprised to see a 112 blade in a Bucklite.

...Larry, I think it's a 422. They's so many variations of the 112 out there it's mind boggling...LOL...Not including Trax and my 112's with 442 blades...LMBO...:D

Cool!!!. Seems like I sold one of those on ebay eons ago... Back before I got addicted and learned the evil of my ways and quit selling my Bucks....Thanks!

...Yep...Picked it up last week at a fleamarket down here for 7 Buckerinos...Gonna give it to one of my sons-in-law who lost the 110 I gave him for Christmas...Gonna put a lanyard on it and tie it around his throat...LOL...

You definitely got a better deal than I did .... I must have been drinking when I bought mine.
I was thinking the same lanyard thing for my Dad. He can't keep track of one. Looses his knives all the time, But they seem to show back up, eventully. He drives my little 4x4 Tracker around the ranch and is always neeeding a knife. This one should get his attention hanging from the mirror.
course being 82 causes some knife misplacement situations.

...LOL...You don't need to be 82 to have those problems...believe me...That Orange really stands out and I'm sure that as long as it isn't in high grass it should be a lot more "findable" than the black versions floating around...

I said orange, but there is an ORANGE tape measure laying here on the desk, and up against it, the Bucklite is PINK! Hummm......

do all of these have 112 blades in them?

...That's a good question rodent...Seems they pop up with all sorts of variations. There certainly must have been some rhyme and/or reason for all the blade and number variations that seem to come up with these knives. I just can't put my finger on those reasons. They can call 'em whatever they want...these things are actually quite nice and user friendly. I'm actually carrying one of them more often than not lately as they truly are "lite" and they get and keep one hell of an edge. And I do LOVE that 112 I converted to a 112/442 hybrid...

...Now they have come out with that new "Bantam" model which replaces the Bucklite. These are supposed to be quite good as well. I believe they are made "off-shore" and IIRC TLC has one or two of them and he said they were quite nice...I won't need one o' them til I lose my Bucklites tho...LOL...

You said you have son or sons in law. Won't be too long before you loose the Bucklite and can go for the Bantum. :D

This is a neat knife for sure, I just never paid a lot of attention to the plastic stuff before. If I ever need to carry this size blade this would be a good one to carry. It even has an intergral bolster spacer   And one of those rare no scale pins.

...That's true about the sons-in-law...I have 2 of 'em so far. One more daughter to marry off and then it's a trio...LOL. I never paid any attention to the plastics either until Trax got me going on that 112/442 conversion thing. I loved the look of the one he did and I had to have one. I like it better than the clip point 112 actually. That was my introduction to the "Bucklites"...I felt so bad about carving up the one I used for the conversion that I went and bought a couple more. I really do like 'em...Seems to me that they are tough enough to last as long as you want 'em to and "lite" enough to carry without even knowing they are there. . So maybe I won't need those Bantams...unless that "malady" that occurs at 82 strikes me soooner...LOL...

The crs thing that hit Dad started at about 79... fortunately we got him on some meds and it seems better. fortunately he lives in a small town and that Tracker is bright Red so folks know to look out for him.

The sons in law thing tho, will last a whole lot longer I am afraid. I have two also.

But, for the life of me, I still can't get into the drop point on the 110/112. The DP on the Cutback seems ok and I carry it a lot, but for me, there is just something about that clip blade.

I am wishing that my BCCI number wasn't on the upcoming BCCI 110. Kinda. But doubt I would sell it just because of a DP blade.

Thanks for all the info on this little pink/orange rascal. I will have to get the wife to give an opinion on color. but then she might want it... oh well...

Leisure Suit Larry...

I don't think the BCCI number is on the 110.

I mean, well, idonno, never know that I babble about, babbling incoherently runs in the family just like insanity, got it from my kids.

However, I do think the BCCI knives LO is working on will have our BCCI numbers on them. I think, maybe, kinda sorta,

If I wreckolect, those are drop points, I think, been so long ago, who knows, besides its late and I think I will have a drink,,, oh,,,,,,never mind, I see one sitting here,

I dunno if the units have the numbers on 'em. Don't think so, but I've been wrong twice...ask my two ex's.
Keeping with the thread, 112, I'm sitting here buffing my 112NS and it dawned on me...I don't watch "The Price Is Right" or "Deal or No Deal" for the prizes. DAMN! Them chicks are hot!!!!

You are right!!! This isn't a BCCI club member knife. It's a fund raiser knife. thus no member number. Been too long since I read the article on it. So If I should want to sell it off, will be easier. But I may just come to like the drop blade.... maybe,,,,,

...Here's yet another variation of the same knife Larry...Will they ever stop popping up?...LOL...
