Hi guys, does anyone know if Buck is currently making the 424 (the skinny one with the 501 blade)? I just ordered one this morning and wasn’t sure if it is new old stock, or current production?

Is the blade stamped 501 or 424I got one from DLT in 2021. Blade was made in 2013 and the knife was made in 2015. The handles are an old model. Pos old stock or the had some made up.

Hey Bruce, I bet that it would be great around the water. This one didn’t come with a pouch. I figure it will be a nice office edc knife, as it weighs next to nothing.Longbow, that 424 makes a dandy fishing knife - stainless blade and good synthetic handle, very lightweight. From what I see in your pictures above they used the exact same handles they used in 1990 on mine. Did yours come with a little nylon pouch? I’ve had this one for many years, I keep it with my bass fishing tackle; slip it on your belt in the nylon pouch and you will forget it is there. OH
