A few photos, for your amusement, of this capable green Bucklite 426 from days gone bye (3.4 ounces, about 8.5 inches overall open, excellent lockback function & great self-close):

Thank you for looking.

I love those drop point blades, great pictures Steve.

PS, I love your photo dating system.;)

You guys are scaring the kids with good questions. Settle down please.

I don't see any knife mangler marks around the pivot that would indicate to me a factory or otherwise blade swap. I am going to make a ruling: Original drop point blade.

The point is kinda not the pointiest I've ever seen.

I cleaned with alcohol, removed age from brass with Wright's Brass Polish, lubed with food grade mineral oil and slightly touched up cutting edge, which was sharp but ever so slightly folded over on most of its length (something I don't think I've ever seen before, perhaps factory sharpening was interrupted for a fire drill 1/2 way along) with fine stone then polishing tape on EdgePro. It is ready to shave and do the town! :)

I bot the rights to this system from an old guy with CRS problems. It works fine for me. I can't quite remember his name...

Thanx for the info Plumberdv...
Nice find Oregon, and thanx for sharing

:D:p :) :D

I was hoping you'd get a laugh out of my foolishness. Now I'm laughing. Thank you. I needed that.

I have that exact knife.

It's described in my recent "two older BuckLites" thread (wherein I promised photos which have still not happened).

That is exactly what mine looks like. Mine is also factory original.

Now perhaps youse guise can understand my fascination with that blade shape. The ratios are all . . . just right.

The size, lock, finger grooves, handle material, color and the drop point blade have this folder on the top of my list of favorites. It is a peach of a knife. You are right on all fronts.

Oregon, I didn't notice weight in your adjectives;) I'll bet this model is a joy to carry...another Buck model, now on the top of my hit list... Thanx:thumbup: :D

3.4 ounces (96.5 grams).

"How lite is it" you ask. It weighs so little I got dirt under my fingernails weighs more than this folder.
