I just ordered a Small bucklite max fixed blade. Can't wait to get it, looks like a really good camping, hiking and fishing knife. The 3 and1/4 blade also keeps it legal in washington!

Who else has one?

I have the large its got a 3 5/8 blade. It's a great knife holds a great edge too. Sharpen it up and enjoy brother. o I think the small has a 2 1/2 blade.

The small has a 2-3/4" blade, similar to a 501. I have the 444, which is a few generations before this current Bucklite Max. I like how light it is. It's a good user. Enjoy.

I've got the one with a guthook and love the ergonomics of it, it just feels real good, easy to handle. But I miss the aesthetics of a conventional knife.

Monstrum, my apologies for jumping in here, but as I read this, the the question was about the Bucklite Max small fixed blade (#673), not the large folder (#486). The #673 is a 3-1/4" full tang fixed blade while you're right, the #486 is a 3-5/8" folding blade. I own both and really like them...good quality Buck blades.

Spook...just saw this. I have four different versions of the Bucklite Max series...both the small and larger folders, and both the small and large fixed blades. I've accumulated these over the last few years as I've used them and really liked them. I like the weight and the ergonomics. Typical Buck quality; the blade material is great, especially when you keep them sharp...which isn't difficult.

I like the small for general around the cabin or campsite stuff. The large is a bit more friendly when you do bigger jobs. At the current price-point, it's a hard to knock these knives, though everybody has their own idea of a "great" blade.

Use it, keep it sharp, and be safe!

Well bad news. I just found out that my bucklite is on back order from Amazon, they said I could wait or cancel but it might be a long time. So I decided to go strait to the source then I saw the web special and ended up order the combo mini alpha hunter with guthook plus a leather sheath for the alpha! 50 bucks out the door with my 25percent discount buck sent me. I can't wait to get it, I think this might be even better than the bucklite!

Sorry i didn't catch the fixed blade part but the buck lite series are al terry goodbknices
