Just received one of the limited edition Bucklocks with the BG-42 blade and woodgrain handles. The handles look almost like the Birchwood on my 503 but not as dark. Anyway, my wife sneeked this one while we were at SMKW meeting chuch Buck and had him engrave it. It is an awesome knife. I never thought I would ever have one of these but this was a Father's Day gift. Last year I received a 503 Prince. Already looking forward to next year. Would love to see this same knife in a smaller size to carry in the pocket. Say about 3 & 1/2 in. By the way, what kind of wood is this? Thanks.

Russell,
If you are talking about the 532 Bucklocks, the handle material is a laminated Birchwood. That stuff on very durable and can be made in many colors. We have been using it for quite a few years with great results.
Take care,
