BuckMaster 184 authentic?

I know it looks a little rough but can anyone confirm that this is a legit Buckmaster 184? Thanks for any info guys.

Yes 100% and its a BuckMaster variation #4 , with that stamp of " BUCK,184<(1986 stamp code ) U.S.A.,PAT.PEND." about 45,452 were produced from Oct 1985 till Dec 1986 with this stamp on the blade...Send it to BUCK and for about $25 plus shipping they can make it look new..I like that you have everything there, both pouches large and small, silva #12 compass, sheath, pins pommel and lanyard loop. We can certainly clean up your 184 like Rich mentioned. I should say that sometimes when we reblast a Buckmaster, it uncovers pits. This is especially true if the knife has any rust like yours appears to. We cant remove the pits if they appear. Still, the knife will look very nice when we are done.
 
Well she's on her way to Buck for the Spa treatment. I can't wait to see what they can do for her. :thumbup:
