Wondering if anyone has experience handling a Buckmaster 184 as well as a Randall 18 hollow handle. Any real difference in the durability of the knives where the handle meets blade joints ?

they're all made similarly, far as I've seen.

Sam Wilson makes his own hollow handle knives and has done videos galore on them for strength. he's hung his weight on them. they won't break where they are joined. blade would snap before that.

Chris Reeves made the “One Piece Line” for years and they were easily the strongest hollow handled knives that I have seen, handled, and used. But, the hollow is drilled out after the entire knife is constructed.

I have seen the Randall and the 184 snapped at the juncture between the blade and the handle.

I haven’t seen or handled the Sam Wilson survival knives. But, they resemble the Lile knives to me which I have owned a couple. They were strong.
