wellll as i hapen to have one now but that i may sell i was looking for information on the buck master 184 and came on this site:

which has a copy of the pat. for the 184 !
orgional designs and drawings include some which never made it to buck production.. worth the time to look at ... realy!
 
...Very interesting file Dave...It answers lotsa questions that people have asked from time to time in the forum about the BuckMaster...:cool:
 
Well now!!! Does one of those alternative designs look awful familiar??? I think we've seen that one here not too long ago...
 
I have been sitting here reading The History of Buck Knives and just finished a blurb about the Buckmaster 184.

Started tooling up for the 184 in 1984 and sold 57,000 of them in 1985.... The year "Rambo" hit the movies. Pics of Silver and Black handles.

No, not me! There was a thread here not long ago; "Lunch box knife" I think, or a thread linked off that one, that had the knife shown in Figure 6 and was asking what it was...
