Can anyone post the Buck Knives production total for the Model 184 Buckmaster series, and also the same info for the Model 185 Buckmaster LT? Thanks for any help.

I am assuming that there is research going on or you would have had an answer already.

I know we made about 53k pieces that first year, 1995, fell off to 10k pieces 3 years later and remained at that level until the tooling wore out and we stopped production. It would seem to me to be about 180k-250k pieces total. (just a swag)

I will shoot this to pete and joe as a reminder for a real answer.

Ok, here is the info.
The 184 first started out the production line in late 1984. We made 2600 that year. 53K the next year and then the knockoffs hit and the numbers plumeted. By the time they were discontinued in 1997, we had made 110,000 of them in various configurations.
The 185 is a real sleeper in my opinion. Nobody knows much about this one, made in limited quantities. 1986 we made 4000. We only made another 2000 before dropping it from the line in 1989. They are hard to find, but usually, when you do, they are rather inexpensive. If you look long and hard yo may find one of the 10 or so done in camo teflon finish!

Hope this helps,
