BuckMaster Question

I have a older BuckMaster, The blade doe not have the "BuckMaster" markings, The only markings read Buck 184 U.S.A (left side) no marking on right side.
I have also read other post about the blade breaking and tang annealing, do I have anything to worry about-thanks in advance.

Tom,
Buckmasters marked BUCK, 184, U.S.A. are the first versions and have become quite collectable. Later Buck added PAT. PEND. If yours has the tiny compass in the pommel it is one of the first. I would not worry about the tang problem, they started tang annealing them early.
