Just saw both knives on the TV series, The Agency. The Seal knife was used by some Uzbekistani terrorist to slit the throat of a kidnap victim. And the unbelievable Matt (the character played by Gil Bellows) took a special forces guy's Buckmaster (noticed the funny spiked handle guards and the hollow barrel handle :barf: ) which was attached on the shoulder straps of the specops guys' LBV, with the intention of slitting the BG's throat in retaliation.

Any specops/military/LEO-SWAT forumites can to share if anyone in the community would even use a Buckmaster???:barf: I like the series but Gil Bellows is too unbelievable - can a field guy who jumps around with SEAL teams and Delta Forces in insertions and covert operations be equally adept in office/desk bound control/command work??? I may be wrong tho'....

cheers,
Spyken;)

I read in a knife book (sorry, can't remember which one) that the author saw and talked with one SEAL who used a Buckmaster. Knives are an individual preference! Though I don't think that the Buckmaster has seen widespread appeal among the Teams.

I used to have one and it was not bad at all. Heavy, thick, kinda clumsy, but sharp as the dickens and fun to use. Plus, even though it was not one piece, good luck breaking it. I used to throw mine at a section of log without any problems.

Sold it because I thought it was't cool enough at the time.

I thought it was wierd cos the knife would be kinda heavy for upside down shoulder carry....no?
