Saw this knife makers knives in a general store in Boon NC. Nice knives with Damascus blades? Anyone have any info on them? Salesman said a 3rd generation Pakistani knife maker? D2 and 1095 Damascus as i recall? Knife i handled was almost same size as my Winkler Blue Ridge Hunter.
Price at $99.

They manufacture in Pakistan, import to America. It's run by two brothers. One is here, one is there, hopefully doing some quality checking before and after the boat trip. We don't know much about their steel choice or HT process.

They look promising, if only because they actually have a physical warehouse here, and somebody over there with an interest in making sure it's right before it leaves the production facility. If you decide to try a BucknBear, make sure to let us know what you think.

I've seen a couple models while window shopping. I'd love to see a review if you try it out.

I handled one. Had them get the sheath out. Really nice and i do not own a Damascus blade of any type so at $99 I'm in.
Also the store offers a 15% veterans discount on all knives. Actually all purchases so it’s a no brainer.
Wish i had taken a picture when i put it up next to my Winkler Blue Ridge Hunter. Same size and style of knife.

Sounds like a win. Would you be willing to put it through it's paces? I don't mean any concrete block silliness, but some woodworking for edge retention and an opinion of overall quality would be good stuff to have.

A buddy of mine received one in one of those "knife of the month" boxes and I was actually pretty impressed with the quality. Easily the best made Pakistani knife that I have held. The damascus looked well done and the fit and finish on the handle was pretty solid. No idea about the edge holding, but if I really liked the look of one of their designs, I wouldn't have any problem giving them a go.

If i get one i will post some pics and i’ll let you know my opinion but if i was to put it through its paces ( if i thought i could) i would have a Youtube channel and be a rich man....... in-fact i think i will go check the tube now and see if someone might have posted a review already? :D:D:D

Yes i just watched a YouTube review from the maker. Four of their knives. The 2nd one, the White Walker was the one i handled. I snaped a screen shot and will see if i can post it.

White Walker, that’s from the Game of Thrones if my memory serves me right?

Same blue scales and all. The sheath was a medium brown open top design that i thought was perfect for what i am looking for and did not look or feel cheap. gotta snap one up before they get popular and the price goes up lol

I hear that. When I get a new knife, I like to test it. The first thing I do is to take it apart. I look over the internals, clean everything up, etc. Then I carry it and use it to cut things. Between doing more family shopping online and complying with new garbage regulations, breaking down my weekly cardboard has become a good testing ground. It turns a chore into fun and gives me feedback on my pocket cutlery.

The only downside is that cardboard doesn't just wear on the edge. It can scratch up a finish. It varies depending on the finish and the type or condition of the cardboard but it's a fact. It could definitely be a concern for knives that you want to keep pretty. Ironically, the knives I want to keep pretty are the fancy ones with the "super steel"...

I caught myself using my expensive Spyderco on cardboard boxes i needed to break down. $300 titanium flipper with M4 steel instead of me getting my $9.95 box cutter. Damn that knife cut it like hot butter with no change to the knife. This Damascus knife i’m looking at is for self defense so as long as it will slash and stab with rapid deployment i’m good.

i got the BnB white walker today. I really like it. Passed on the blue handled one as the blade on one side seemed a bit rough and really didn’t want to have to touch up a new blade.

These knives are so close the sheaths are interchangeable. I actually find the BnB sheath and the way the knife sits in it to be very comfortable.

Ok i have learned more since my last post. There are three knives that are like mine. only difference is the handle color and wood used. Blue died burlewood is the White Walker. Light brown olive wood is the Utility Hunter and the one i got is the Red Fox Hunter with African padauk wood or something like that.
Since i thought they were all White Walkers ( like on game of Thrones) i nicknamed my version The Knights Watch lol
