This md. 525 engraved by Leesa Martin will be awarded tomorrow at our Spring Trap Shoot to the High Over-All shooter. A two day shoot. DM

That would certainly be worth competing for!! Very nice!!

I like that she engraved what it was for on the back with the date and event.:thumbup:

Thanks honestly and Stumps for your encouragement and observations. She enjoys doing award knives. DM

Great prize for a great sport. Never was very good at Trap, but have done a lot of skeet shooting. HOA in a Trap shoot is quite an accomplishment. Have watched several shoots here At the Atlanta range, and to win you need a near perfect day. These guys impress me with their ability and expertise.

Blessings,

Omar

Here's Leesa presenting the High Over-All award to the great shooter at the finish of today's Trap Shoot. Congratulations to Corey on his fine shooting. DM

Ohallum, Your assessment is correct. This gent seldom drops a single target in a two day shoot. That's 600 targets in some windy conditions that could melt the fortitude of the most stalwart shooters. Thing is I've been following him for the last 13yrs. and for the entire time he's been shooting at this phenomenal level. Thanks, DM

Well, congratulations to Cory on what I imagine was a stellar performance. Onlookers that have never tried this sport see someone like him shoot, and think "Gee, that looks easy, Bet I could do that!" I have tried it and have shot lots of rounds of Trap, and when I see someone of that caliber shoot, I see an artist displaying his/her talents. (envy sets in) It takes a lot of practice and dedication to achieve what he did. :applause:

Blessings,

Omar

Hear, hear! No, kidding, I've watched him do it and I can't figure out how he does it... It takes more than good eyes and a well fitting shotgun. A lot of honed abilities from years of shooting are mixed in the equation when he steps up to the shooting line. I don't doubt he'll be inducted into the 'Hall of Fame' at some point. A deserving recipient of this award. DM

I used to shoot trap back in the 70's. I was just okay, but I had two friends that traveled the US to compete and went head to head in competition.

They usually competed in doubles just so one might get a one clay advantage at some point in the match.

They were amazing to watch...probably just like your friend Cory.:thumbup:

Thank you Gedd. He said he'd wear to church next Sunday. He was genuinely thankful to receive it. DM
