Bucks bought just to pass around

so i've found one of the best parts of getting into Buck's is sharing that with others that either are not "knife nuts" but like me before just buy whatever's at the counter and keep replacing em or those that are into knives but just think of Buck as the 110/119.

i usually have a good spread of 300/100 serires, assist opens and vantages in a plano worm box in the car since i'm often coming across a chance to "spread the word" of Buck by passing em around to try for a while.

now i get as excited as the next guy over fancy scales/nice steel/limited runs but have really gotten excited over the inexpensive (not meaning cheap!) models Buck's putting out. i just can't pass em up each time i come across those values.

at the store for oil/filter and gotta come home with another ecolite vantage for $19 or a packlite fixed blade for $17. great chance to give a "real" knife to someone instead of the cheap junk at similar price on the rack next to them. these combined with the 110s found for less then $30 and 119 for less then $40 for those more into knives/outdoors makes it easy to share what i like to collect with friends/family.

and it gets real fun when a few weeks/months later they come back saying hey i really like this, do they make anything.....

not many other things to collect that are as useful, durable, quality yet affordable to share with others.

I totally agree! I've passed on several Vantages, and large Bucklite Max knives to my non-knife nut friends and relatives and each and every one has loved them to death! Most if not all were completely unaware of the extent of Bucks offerings. I've handed out at least six of the Founders Edition 110's in the collector tins as "tips" to various service people that have been to my place. Maybe I made some converts, maybe not, but everyone seemed really gratefull and excited to get them.
