Bucks gets some love at Esquire.com

Did you notice that they used a model 55 picture but mentioned an imported Buck Trio and the retail for it? I suppose they had picked more than one choice and inadvertently got the names and prices assigned to the wrong picture.

Who ever made that list is definitely a girly man because he didn't include the 110, every man should own a Buck 110.......He also didn't include a few other things like a lawnmower and a truck.

Blame the art director, who chose the 55 image based on its appearance. It says old-time manliness more than the studio lightbox shot of the Trio. Which is a Stockman pattern, again a more old-time pattern than the lockback 55.

As in almost all marketing, image triumphs over content.

I laughed when I read that article - I have everything listed except for two of the items, however I have two lawnmowers, a pickup truck, and several Buck 110's - guess that averages it out! OH
PS I would take a 300 series for an EDC.

I wrote them when that list came out: No shotgun? There are so many, so inexpensive, so reliable, and so easily acquired. Hunt, defend, target, all around must-have. And it makes short work of that stupid Frisbee.

I figured it'd be a 501, FKA the "Esquire."

What did you expect in a publication named "Esquire"? If it were "Real American Men", yeah, I'd expect a 110.

Actually, "Esquire should be renamed "Metrosexual"

They did the same thing with the lantern. They diss the electric and the one in the picture takes Coleman fuel, but then it mentions an LED lantern.

I'm missing the passport, corkscrew, and $1,000.
