I was at a local archery shoot this weekend and was helping a guy tune his bow ,it was a champion bow, with buck knives' name on the limbs.

When did Buck get into the archery game, and do they still make buck bows?

That's really cool. I have been collecting bows for awhile and never heard of a Buck Knife signature bow. I have seen Fred Bear knives though. I sure would like to have one of those Buck Bows in the collection.

Back in 1999 Buck introduced those bows. We actually liscenced the Chanpion Bow company to use the Buck name on their bows. This only lasted a couple years. They were great bows in my opinion. I used mine until just last year and it did great on a couple whitetails and a cow elk.
They do show up from time to time but not that often.

I will say that oce i tuned his bow up,it was very accurate and quiet,he was shooting great with it,i would have loved to have one too!!Thanks for the info Joe!

RAZORBLADES, I thought you might like some pictures of the 2001 119 that was only available to Champion Bow Dealers. The handle is Rosewood with a buck lazered on it. I think there were less than 140 of them made.
