I owned a Buck 110 for 18 years-it was the only knife i owned as an adult other than whats in the kitchen. I always did appreciate it but i bet there were years that went by that i didnt open it. I never cut a thing with it.

Lately I have made up for lost time under the guise that Im going to sell knives as a hobby-maybe make some money. Anyway here is what i have on order. They are NOT for sale. We shall see down the road.

8 Alpha Hunters (6 279 BKS Rubber Handle, 2-277RWS Rosewood Handle)

2 Folding Kalingas!!! 0415 BKS Rubber Handle http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=BU415BK

3 Alpha Dorados 154 CM!!CAMO

HANDLE.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MXBLF8

Hi Buckstopshere,

I EDC a 110 every day on my belt and a Tempest in my pocket. Some days they don't get used at all and some days they do.

No Bucks on oreder at this time...But always looking;). I have a few of the Buck's you have on order and like them all (waiting for the postman is the hard part). Post some photo's when you have them in hand.

Bucksstophere, I have four Alpha Hunters, one Alpha Dorado and one Folding Kalinga so approve of your choices. I used the Alpha Dorado and folding Kalinga for EDC. The Kalinga does a great job opening an envelope.

Let's see......one 121 on the way.

Two Buckscript 110s on the way.

One Chicago Cutlery Chef's knife on the way (how did that get in there?)

:D

I might as well mention that five Founder's Editions from Amazon hit the porch yesterday.....beautiful knives all.

:)

I have some photos that wont post-Does anyone know how to cut down the file size so they will post?

hosting site? they are just on my computer in "Windows Photo Gallery"

I dont think you can change that although maybe in properties. I had the same problem-when I'd post a picture it would get eliminated by the mods because of the size. I ended up signing up for free Photobucket and then upload to that hostin sight and it gives you many options to post with. Only took a few minutes and I'm a computer nITwit

Looks like I'll be getting this from mtarnold. I'll have it engraved with a name and inscription by a local engraver. It's going to be a gift.:

And I'll soon be ordering this from the CKS with an S30V blade. It, too will have an engraved inscription. This one's for me. A backup actually.

I like the second one-All class but the first one is a bit too Velvet Elvisy for my taste. Keep in mind Im just getting started and my taste probably needs to be honed and developed more.

The second one is for me. The first is a for a friend who wears cowgirl boots, jacket, etc and she sings in a country band. :)

Hay Bsh,

There is not one thing wrong with a Velvet Elvis if it's a Buck 110 Elvis!

Maybe to you guys these are Velvet Elvises...

I have been looking for a 3' x 6' velvet "Elvis the Bullfighter" throw for years (black velvet background, Elvis in the matador outfit with the red cape thrown out)...There is a girl who I want to get in her...good graces...and having the Elvis throw on the wall will do it!!!:thumbup:

(My email is in my profile) ;)

Hey I understand that. You wouldnt believe what i have done for the same 'product'.

BTW-I got a notice from Cabelas giving me $30 off an order over $150 so
i go to their site, order some Bucks totalling $167 and they hit me with a $17 shipping and handling chg. So now in my view, Im really only getting $13 off and that aint good enough. At least for this minute. It's still 50/50 that i order them by the end of tomorrow.

Im a twit too but i Uploaded some pics to Flikr. Now you are telling me that there should be some option over there which will reduce file sizes when posting over here? I so doubt that i can handle that. The mailman wouldnt deliver nuttin today so i had to go out and find a Buck or two. Here they are.

The top old timer is 18 and weighs in at 7.390 Oz and the youngster 7.350 Oz. It's probably the dirt weighing the old timer down.

If anyone can give me some idea how to move photos from Fkikr to here and reduce file size, let me know-Thanks

Since you mentioned Alpha Dorados, I have to tell you it's my all-time favourite EDC - more than sturdy enough for most jobs, and small enough not to make the neighbour faint.

In fact, I liked it so much, I bought another - 1 in 420HC and one in 154CM.

Buckstopshere, I'm only a measly basic member (even though it lists me as a Registered User-I paid my hard earned 10 bucks!) and I upload my photos by hooking my camera up to my computer, going down to Additional Options when I'm going to post and then hitting Attach Files. That opens up a dialog box that has a Browse button, then I pick my camera from the list. You must be able to do that as a Gold member.

Ok i can try that- I didnt know that was possible-My camera is the first one I have owned since i was 11 (and i havent been 11 since the 50's) and it was just $88.

I just tried doing that on this reply and there was no camera shown anywhere. All it showed was the various files in my computer. I just found the camera
