Hello everyone.
I'm not a serious collector, just pick up knifes as they appeal to me. These are the Buck knives I have picked up over the years. I usually carry the Sirus or the Buck 112 with the black case.

What I really want to show is the Buck 112 that I sent in to have the blade replaced. This was a old working knife my Dad used. Not pretty at all, but wanted to keep it after he passed away. I wish I had a picture of it before sending it in. You wouldn't believe it is the same knife. Buck did a fantastic job with this knife. Way beyond anything I expected. Just wanted to show it off and thank Buck Knives. I was so impressed with their service, I just had to order a couple more from their site.

Thanks Buck Knives.

That 112 is really pretty, I have a few I am planning spa jobs on as well. I just hope they turn out as nice as yours, they will. Buck does a great job and that is why I am a loyal Buck collector. Some knives may look better or may be more funtional but Buck is always comming out with competive knives and you can't beat the service, all the way around. No knife manufacture does what Buck does. MY 2 Cents.

Rob that 112 your Father owned looks great! Your Vanguard is a good looking knife as well. I plan on getting one myself.:D

Thats great rob, I got 2 there right now and hope for the same feeling of exuberance

I'm here to tell you that their service is just incredible! To see what I'm talking about, check this thread about some of my Bucklocks that got corroded.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740696

I sent them in and Buck received them last Monday, the 24th . Well, they arrived back to me TODAY and they look like new! I can't believe how well they cleaned up and if they had to remove any metal to remove pitting, it's sure not noticable.

I had also enclosed an old no dot, no nail nick 112 with a shortened blade that had belonged to my Father in Law to get it rebladed. Wow, it looks like a new knife now. I'll post some before and after pictures of the Bucklocks in a new thread soon. I'm not even sure I have a picture of the old 112 before, but I'll look.

I don't think I'll ever buy any other brand of knife as long as I live! Long live Buck!!

skyhorse; Had to have the Vanguard the first time I saw it. It was going to be my camp/cabin knife but every time I pull it from the sheath he starts singing "I'm to sexy for my sheath...." Now he hangs around the gun rack most of the time.

Senor Rosa, Welcome . Thanks for the pictures, Buck did you a good job . Could you give us more history on your 112 with the pouch sheath . Is that a 3 liner ? As they normally don't have a nail nick . DM

David; About the 112. It was my Dad's. Don't know how old. The original blade had been reshaped to where it was about 5/8" or more, shorter than what is there now and was above the channel. Just wanted it in usable condition. Picked up the sheath at a gun shop marked Keith Eaves Groesbeck TX. I have seen similar sheaths all around. Have large drawer semi-full of knives I rotate and use, and don't know about particularities as what is a 3 liner. Just an old man with some knives. My photography isn't near what I see here, but looks as a twin to what Plumberdv posted in "Refurbished 112, Thanks Buck."

Thanks for asking. What is a 3 liner?

BTW, you guys do amazing photography.

Will Buck do a re-blade??? I know they will if it's a broken tip...The 112 is a great carry Buck..

I have an old 112 my grandfather gave me a long while back when i was much younger and its been put away for a while and i just have found it up, the handles corroded and the blade looks pretty bad. how much did it cost yall to have it cleaned and either sharpened or rebladed. I really want to get it back in order so i can put it in rotation with my newer 110.

I love the "hand me down" stories and the fact that the knives mean so much more than just a cutting tool. It is what I enjoy most about this business.

Glad we took care of another heirloom...the guys and gals do great work and they truly understand the above and take great pride in what they are working on. Your 112 shows that.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to make it like new.
