I sent these three knives in for SPA treatment after talking to Matt Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc. about smoothing out the scales on my 101. They did a fantastic job on all of them. They look and feel like brand new. Unfortunately I don't have before pics of the 605 and 532. They weren't in bad shape but the good folks at Buck polished out the scratches and put good clean edges on all three. I'm aware that there have been some complaints lately, so I wanted to highlight some of the great work that they are capable of. I couldn't be happier.

I have no idea how many knives must go through that process. A few bad reports show up on this forum and give the impression that Buck Knives is not doing a quality job in this department, which is not correct. Life is just not fair and then there's the internet

Love the covers on that 532!!

Thank you. The green really does stand out, especially when it's shined up. The internet can be used in a positive way also. Just doing my part to promote that.

I need to bite the bullet and send my pile of SPA, warranty and reblades in. Many of them have been in the pile for many years!
Please limit the amount of knives to 5 at a time. We will sometimes receive boxes with 30 or more knives that might take a technician a day to complete causing delays and will generally get de-prioritized. Our current lead time is 6 weeks from the day it arrives to shipping back to you.

Yeah, unfortunately sending in one doesn't seem to help either. As an outcome of my debacle, I sold the knife off that you guys weren't able to fix and took a $75 loss. Your company is effectively dead to me at this point.

Also, your current wait time is not 6 weeks. It's currently 3 months, at least as of a few weeks ago. (Ask me how I know).

Consider doing a triage on the received knives. Prioritize brand new knives sent in due to manufacturing problems. Kick the boxes of knives that someone bought off of eBay that are thrashed to the back of the queue. The ones that have been rode hard and put up wet that you would be embarrassed to claim as yours, charge them or put them at the back with the eBay knives.

Folks spend $40 on a knife, use it for twenty years and then send it in to be made as close to new as possible for no or little charge are a drain on the company. You pay someone at high wage rates to spend hours on a knife that either they bought as a lot on fleabay or they have already gotten far more wear out of it than any sane person should expect out of a knife.

We encourage anyone that has purchased a new Buck Knife to contact Customer Service instead of shipping to our warranty department to expedite the repair or replacement process.

This information isn't easy to find on your website. The drop down meu will take you to the Warranty page which doesn't differentiate between returns and warranty. You have to do a search specifically for 'returns' the website returns a nearly empty Results page. If you click on the teeny tiny 'Content' tab you do get a result for Returns. Maybe this information should be more front and center.

I sent a 112 I had received from an older gentleman at my church, he knew k liked knives, rhe knife was possibly from the mid 80s and was in need of some TLC. I sent it off to Buck and they cleaned it up and is almost like new, I say that as it is older but turned it to be quite useful now.
