How about the Buckscript 110 at SMKW??

It just says "High carbon stainless."

That's a new one for me on a Buck knife.

What's it all about? Is it made in U.S.?

Thanks......I still have to wonder why SMKWs would say "High Carbon Stainless" instead of 420HC.

Is it 420HC?

Can one of the official Buck folks here comment?

I think everyone has answered your question but I'll give it a try.

It is a Vender collaboration knife ie SMKWs is the sole seller of this knife as a first retailer (yes some have made it to FleaBay). The blade is standard issue 420hc same as all other entry level Buck 110s. It is made in Post Falls ID with all the other Buck 110's.

I don't believe the package "High Carbon Stainless" means anything significant or different about this 110's blade steel vs any other. Calling it "High Carbon Stainless" is a correct characterization.

Maybe you should call SMKW and ask them.

I already ordered two of them last night.

I figure Buck would have warned us if 110s were coming out with a mystery stainless.

That's a fine-looking knife, and especially at that price.

Define "near."

One year? Three years? Five years?

Maybe it's near anyway by some scales.

;)

You are right about it being a fine looking knife. They look great in person.

Yes they do. I love mine. I think getting this one has started something in me. I see more 110's in my future. :D
