I was reading one of the threads on the forum about the new international knife publication by Bud Lang, as we know probably the finest knife writer around. Anyhow, I have collected many of his works and decided to send my 2 cents worth of thought about his new project. I didn't really know if he would even have the opportunity to read it. POW! Got a really nice reply back from the man himself! Bud says he reads all email and responds. great guy, like the rest of knife folks.
 
Bud has personally responded to every one of the comments that I have sent to Blades International. He goes over the comments sent to him and uses the criticism to improve his on-line magazine, which by the way, I find to be very informative.
 
First time I met Bud was at Blade a few years ago. I had two blowouts on the way there (about 20 min from my house) and was pretty sloppy lookin' from dealing with that situation. Bud treated me as if he had known me for years and I was filthy and most likely not in the best of moods :). (How dare my semi-new tires get punctured on the way to Blade :mad: ). Bud participates quite a bit on TKCL and it is always a pleasure to read his thoughts on knives, hot-rodds and life. (He can tell a good joke too.)

Bud's articles and opinions seem to always be on the mark. He is one of the good guys in our profession/hobby/passion/obsession (pick one or more) :D.
 
I fully agree, Bud is one of the good guys and gave me a significant break when I was starting out writing about knives. He is a true patriot in the world of knives.
 
BUD, there are so many nice words posted for you, that I do not want to be left out either.

He is one of the most knowledgeable guy in the field of weapons and knife. He evaluated some of my weapons and stated as he saw. I felt sometimes he understated or overstated, but on the end I realized He was right.

Also more than 15 years ago He evaluated my Titanium Knife.

Bud, keep up the good work and call me!
