I have been waiting for Bud to get this going for quite a while now, and it has been well worth the wait. Thanks for the link Matt.

It looks like this is a really fantastic e-mag. The articles are well written and the pictures are great.

I was expecting something excellent and I wasn't disappointed!
i especially liked the attention to canadian knives and makers: but I didn't see a Harilstadt - an unfortunate omission :)
 
The magazine looks ok, about like the others on the market...just easier for some to be able to have it on the web.

One thing seems inaccurate (kind of stands out). Its stated that Jim Hammonds first design put out by CRKT was the Mirage. As I recall (correct me if im wrong) the first ones were the Seal_Tac fixed blades and the Cobra Gold folders.

Besides that, it looks like this e-zine has potential.
 
A terrific job, Bud & Co. What a wonderfully heaping helping of handmades! How often can we expect new issues?
 
Spent some time looking at the mag -- just some of the female artists they featured. Overall, pretty decent, I'd say. Somewhat reminiscent of KI, was amused to see a leopard called a tiger in the feature about Viveca Sahlin.

Must admit there was more material than I expected for the startup. Pretty impressive.

P.S. That pic of Dellana's Brilliant Beauty is nice. I have not seen that particular picture before. Thanks (I swiped a copy of it) :)
 
Anybody know what the revenue model is?

Advertising? Get us hooked than charge us? Just curious.
 
hmmm, I hate to be negative, but after looking at it I wouldn't call it an ezine with articles.

I'd call it web advertising with flufficles.

BTW, flufficles = 80% advertising + 17% canned almost advertising text + 3% info.

( Hey, maybe I should copyright that?)
 
Hey Fellas;

I cannot get past the Table of Contents. everywhere on the page I try want to take me back or show me an image. If I click on the articles button on any page I get the table of contents again.

I have a G3 Power Book, a Mac.

Any ideas?
