Gang- Bud Nealy will offer some knives with a Black finish down the road a bit. I just asked Toni to put me on the list.
Anyone else have an interest?

Back up!
Just by chance I checked with Toni Nealy a few days ago and Bud had ONE chisel ground Aikuchi available. All Black. I should have the knife by Saturday.
Bud nailed the light, slim, fixed blade knife design. Is anyone else a customer or fan of Bud?

I admire his innovative and creative mind. Pretty sure he developed a category hitherto untapped.

Bud is awesome and I bought my first knife from him a Damascus Aikuichi from him 20 years ago in his living room :)

I still have it

I love Bud's knives and have three...5" Pesh Kabz with G10 scales and Ti bolsters, a Gemsbok handled/jellyroll damascus bolstered double ground Kwaito II, AND a 3 1/2" pesh kabz set up for neck carry.

I would not consider owning one of them in a chisel grind and the black coating doesn't do anything for me....Bud is a solid knife grinder and I like to see that easily.

Yay for you, Rolf!

Best Regards,

Based on images I have seen, I think the 5 inch Pesh Kabz is very cool, the only thing that has given me pause is that the scales look a bit flat. But I guess that's to facilitate concealed carry... I'd really like to try one sometime.

Thank you, Gentlemen.
Joe- That is some knife. Just a beaut. Thanks for the pic.
Mark- Yes, Bud's handles are flat on purpose.
STeven- I had a Red G10, Satin chisel ground blade but a friend now owns this one. Bud has not made many chisel ground blades.
I never liked the Black blade until recently. It's more of a duty finish than anything. You guys know my chisel grind thing.

I've got a Nealy MCS System with a 3-1/2" Kinzhal that has a black blade and is at least 15-20 years old. It is the original MCS System, not the MCS II. So, black blades are not anything new for Bud.

Thanks, HDC.
I'm glad Bud did decide to make some more Black blades and really glad that one was chisel ground. The chisel ground Nealy's are rare.
