I just picked up the latest issue of TK and I saw the Mroz/Nealy...I must say... DAMN! This is the kind of knife I have been looking for, for awhile. I checked out Nealy's site and I came up with nothing. Tomorrow I'll have to call him...but in the mean time does anyone have any other info on this knife? What I really want to know what the price may be and if his knives are any good?

You mentioned his site, I've tried to find his site, but everything I try comes up blank. The guy only lives 15 min. from my house and he does make a top notch tactical fixed blade, I've carried his Aikuchi, for 13 years now and I know I can count on it.

if ya dress like me (ie jeans/sweats/shorts) have bud make the knife w/a MASS system NOT the MCS - i honestly didnt care for the MCS at all, BUT the MASS ROCKS imho. much more versatile for me, just works better the way i dress/carry knives.

i also think nealy is one of the best w/fixed blades, imho, esp w/the system he makes, MASS, to carry the knife.

why didnt i like the MCS??

*no way to carry IWB except by adding a 1/4" nylon strap which goes thru your belt. didnt work well for me even w/a belt, and what about swaets/etc w/out a belt?? wont work. also looked cheap to me.

*MCS seems to be designed more for people in suits/etc than the way i dress. or boot wearers, again, not me.

*but, most of all, the MCS seems to be a system designed to do a lot of things, regrettably none of them well. sure, lotsa options, but no really good options. imho too much of a universal carry all, which, in practice/use, doesnt work well in any of its forms.

go with the MASS, i tried both, and the MASS is much better imho. when i got the MASS, the knife went from rarely being carried (or not at all w/the MCS) to my most carried sheath knife. what can i say??

just my .02 worth

Yeah Bud's Carry Systems are truly nice for "stock" products.., very good maker/designer!

I don't recall ever handling the Mroz but, in general, Nealy's knives are quite good (my favourite is the JKD :) )...here are some pics for you

BTW, I have handled the Cold Steel Desperado, which has a similar design...it is my favourite piece from the make

There are four or five great fixed blade knife makers that worked for Nealy at some point or another. One day, I might get one of Nealy's knives.

What's been tough for me is that a lot of his knives lack what looks like sufficient guards. These are, after all, made for defensive use.

I have just receive a Kwaito from Bud Nealy, a great knife for EDC.
It's the first B.Nealy i buy but not the last.
Very good knife and very fast job for the order too.... N°1
