My friend Steve, who has lived in Kathmandu for many years sends this video. Steve is somone with high credibility in my book. He is not easiliy fooled by fakers.

"Nepal is a wreck. The king would rather heap suffering on everyone, rather than release any of his hold on power. He is probably sealing his fate as eventually the people will grow tired of that and he'll have to resort to the ugliest forms of repression and that probably won't be enough as it will just upset people more. "

He also sent this message about the "Budha Boy."

"By the way... you will be interested to know that I have now payed two visits to the so called "Buddha Boy" in Nepal.

I never put much faith in the reports I saw earlier, but if Steve believes this guy is legit, I am now rethinking this.

It MAY be. I realize how easily these things can be faked. I can only say that my friend Steve believes it is legit. He is a very stable and perceptive guy. He is also a Buddhist. Studies with the Tibetan Rinpoche in exile in Nepal. I would hope that he would be harder to fool, but you never know.

I try to keep an open mind in matters like these as long as the Buddha Boy is not asking ME for a donation. Hmmm, sounds like my pastor!

I could look right at the "Buddha Boy" and never know.

I met a guy who was a photographer for one of the lurid tabloids. You know the ones that say "Elvis Was an Alien!" He told me that 98% of the articles were fake, fake, fake.

BUT

He said that he had seen some stuff that was real, so real that it scared him. Would not go into details, but.......

As Robert Heinlin once said, "The Universe is not only stranger than you think, it is stranger than you CAN think." I like that.

David Blaine is cool.:thumbup: I like his act as well as I do Copperheads.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I know people are capable of great feats of strength and stamina.

One of the Lakota Ceremonies is a Yuwipi. In a Yuwipi a room is cleared of everything and the openings are all blacked out so it's as dark as the deepest cave. The Yuwipi man is tied up securely and then a blanket is tied over him also securely and then he is laid down behind his barrier that consists of some wood dowels with string between them and decorated with prayer cloths. The lights then go out. All sorts of things are reported to be done and felt in the room, winds blow and strange noises sound. At the end of the ceremony the Yuwipi man is setting up with the blanket folded neatly and all the ties laid neatly on the blanket.
I've never been in a Yuwipi Ceremony but I wouldn't mind going. I do know people who have been though.

At night a screen hides him from view. Place the screen BEHIND him instead of in front on him, and train a night vision camera on him at night and a regular camera on him in the daytime. Within 5 days he'll either be drinking water, or begin to make proclamations!
