An artist friend brought these two four legged friends together on canvas.

The one on the right, Tyler, was with us from 1980 till 1992, The other dog is

my current forge buddy, Budo'.

We sent her the photos and this is what we got in return.

It hangs in the living room, where I can keep an eye on them.

That's way cool, Fred.

I've met very few dogs I didn't like. They brighten our lives immensely. My current bonehead just opened the back door himself to go out and check out the folks in the alley. I wish he'd learn to let himself back in. :) He's quite certain he's the Master of the Universe.

Nanc was quite touched by your painting. Thanks for sharing.

Mike,

They do add so much to everyday life. There is never a day goes by that I don't fall down laughing at the things they do.

Glad nanc liked the pic, Fred

Cool pic Fred

The idea, to have her paint them into the same picture, was mine.

I didn't know what to expect. It's strange to see them together.

Kind of like Tyler is still around. He was a great dog. Our first kid, if you know

what I mean.

Fred

I've buried four Japanese Akita's over the past 20 years. I know all too well.
I want to do something similar for mine one day.

My wife and I are cat people. If I were to have a picture made of our recently passed cat, she would cry everyday. I don't think should could take that!

Pets are wonderful. They love ya unconditionally. They make it so easy to love em back! We have two kittens now (10 months old) and we've grown very attached. One favors my wife and the other favors me.

Very nice picture by the way.

That's really a great painting. Thanks for sharing that

Here's mine. Black Lab named Gideon and he is tuff as nails. When he was 1yo he followed me out to the mailbox just when a guy on a Harley was passing at about 35mph. Gideon wanted to bite it on the way by and the foot peg caught him in the head. It spun him around in the middle of the street about 3 times and he got up squealin and hightailed it to the cornfield for about 7 hours. I was sick :( Thought sure he was a going to lay out there and die.

He showed up on the door step with his tail waggin and snorking and snufflin. Vet said he broke his nose and lost alot of blood but he was going to be fine.

He loves to play "sticks"(never brings them to me) and can outswim me. He's a big sweetie bundle of muscle.

Thats a great looking pup. You can see he is well cared for. Thank you for sharing. Fred

Great painting, Fred! Pets are better than kids:
- I've never had the cops drop my dogs off.
- I never worry about who they're hanging out with.
- I've never busted them smoking behind the garage.
- The female's fixed, so I don't worry about her getting knocked up.
- I don't have to check the levels in the liquor bottles.

Here's my two goofballs sucking down vast quantities of snow:

I don't know if I posted this before or not. This is our buddy. The foto appeared in a calendar for Pitbulls last year; the breeder wanted to show him off. He's showdog stock but backyard mentality. He considered the glory fitting and the least people could do... :)

That really nice Fred. :D
Helen and I have three dogs. Ferrari (Schipperke), Viper (Cockerpoo) and Jaguar (Keeshondenn).

That's one weird danged grin on Ferrari. He smile at ya like that a lot? :D Hope Viper got a good snort!

When it comes to "Mans' Best Friend" you guys are a bunch of "Softies".

Oh, by the way, when we had to have our 16 yr. old Beagle, Missy put to sleep on 10-01-2005, Mr. "Tough Guy" thats me, quit eating and ended up at the heart Hospital 3 days later with serious chest pains.....$3000.00 plus... and it wasn't a heart attack.....
On December 19, 2005, Abby was brought home as a surprise by my Better Half..... and this Old "Tough Guy" cried with joy!
Abby is a Beagle with a great blood-line as a hunter.....BUT, when my Wife isn't home, Abby is the Queen of this house....When my Wife is home, Abby is the Princess of this house......well we both think so and she believes it too.....
There is an Honest Reason they call "pups" Man's Best Friend"!
Fred, That is a totally neat idea to put both pups in the same painting.....Cool!

Nice pictures guys.

they make great Buddies don't they..:)

Hmmm come to think of it.. maybe I can find a few pictures of a buddy I had once..though not replaced the memory is still there....

Fred that is a good job by your friend
