I've used a number of Bucks over the years, none of which I really have anything negative to say about. Many don't compete with the higher performance materials that are now standard in today's knife market, but when it comes down to price, overall design, practicality and allaround function I realize they can't be beat. I've picked up a few cheaper Bucks this year- A new 110, a used 503, a Paklite Skinner and a Daimondback Outfitter. All of these knives have a certain sophistication to them, that go above and beyond practicality. As I use them not only do I realize how much I like working with them, but also how aesthetically pleasing they are. The naked Paklite Skinner has got to be the coolest looking blade I own, and is definately the most ergonomic of it's size I've ever used. The 110 may be heavy and old school, but takes a beating and asks for another round. The 503 wears in the pocket perfectly and is all about daily using practicality, and the Daimondback Outfitter has all the right curves-it's my most comfy belt knife. The 420 steel is no S30V but all the same is executed well, and there's something deep rooted and genuine about the anvil maker's mark and USA stamped on the blade. I find myself more and more attracted to Buck knives and I think I've got the bug.
