My next knife purchase is going to be a budget knife that I don't mind getting nasty. I've got it narrowed down to the RAT-1 or the Utilitac II. I've handled the RAT and was very impressed with the knife for the money. It was better built than most knives that cost twice it's $25 price. I haven't seen the Utilitac in person but it gets similar reviews.

Anyone handled both these knives? Any reason to choose one over the other?

The blade shape of the RAT looks like it would be a great slicer but the shape of the Utilitac's blade looks stronger. Anyone used both?
