Budget Buyer: What knife should I get?

Looking for a folder under $200. I don't like Spydercos, flipper ZTs, and I'm not a big fan of axis locks. Right now, the only knives I have of any real worth are a Kizer Sovereign, a Cobratec Titan, and a Chinese-made piece of m390 called a Foresail, with none of these going far over $100. I've also been told that at least two of these knives are, basically, crap. So what should I get?

Emerson might interest you, Houge EX series might be worth looking at. Do you have a size of blade you want? Any preferred blade styles? There are a lot of really good knives in that price range.

No flippers, no axis lock, and no spydie hole? That doesn’t leave much, maybe a Demko 20.5 if you can find one or a Buck 110 Pro.
I like flippers in general, but the ones on a couple of ZTs I tried were super hard to open (in my opinion).

Speedsafe knives usually have a heavy detent. Civivi makes some smooth bearing knives for a good price, the Dogma is nice and I’m excited about the new Synergy3 that’s coming out soon.

I forgot; I have a Civivi Wyvern Flipper shipping right now.

The Emerson wave is definitely different. I liked it, but I don't like it as much as the spydie hole personally.:) The CQC7 is in your specs. Fallkniven has some in that price range I think, its a more traditional style.
Just found a two year old post somewhere else on blade forums about a Kizer Dukes that's within my range. If it's somehow still up, that's a pretty nice one as far as I'm aware. That CPM 3V hunter that you listed is also a pretty sweet blade. Too bad I don't need a fixed blade!

Try a WE Esprit, that one is thumb stud only.

Actually, try any WE, I'm sure it'll change your opinions on flippers.

It's my default recommendation for a WE knife, especially with how much it cost. Now that you say you're okay with flippers, yes by all means....

YOU HAVE BEEN ENAB- I mean, BLESSED! Go pick one up!

I recomend one with graphics on the handle, it adds a good amount of grip.

$125: Done.
