I’m looking for a fixed blade companion knife for the outdoors. For light duty while camping and hiking. I’d like to keep at around $100 (make that $150) give or take. So far , I’ve been looking at the QSP Bison , Real Steel Doppler and of course the Buck 119. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. My only nit pick is that I want a stainless (or semi-stainless) steel blade. No carbon steel.

Echoing Mora Companion and Buck 117/119.

Also a Joker Lynx (or Bushcrafter) and Terava 110/140 (make sure to buy the optional leather sheath, they are excellent). The Joker and Terava knives will handle heavier duty

Edit: The Terava knives are not stainless but don’t let that stop you. Treat them with a dry lube (I like Tuf-Cloth, one wipe down and let it dry)

Mora Robust Pro. You'll never break it, it's easy to sharpen, and it does everything you need in a camp. Oh, and it's about $20? If I'm wrong and it doesn't work for you 😲

I'd say one of the cheapest stainless Moras like the Companion or Companion HD if you must, plus something like that Bison or maybe Kizer's Elgon or Justice, which both have a similar construction and look great

Another vote for the Mora Companion, if you want super 8 inexpensive yet quality.
Because your budget is actually quite generous for a "budget" knife, ora Kansbol or Mora Gaberg would fit thr bill as well.

Cold Steel Kobun is AUS8 stainless, 50 to 60USD if you want that sharp angle "tanto". CS OutdoorMan lite could work as well.

The Danish scout knife Vangedal... It is not well known, but is stainless, inexpensive and it works.

Hultafors OK4 (or OK1 which is really a GK if you have larger hands). Both deep below the budget.
If you want more, then I would get a Terava Skrama 200 from Varusteleka (differentially hardened 80CrV2). It comes in different sizes.
