hi all.from what i can gather from forums etc,knives are a lot cheaper in the u.s than here in the uk. This,and the fact that the police here will confiscate knives at the drop of a hat even if you arent breaking the law means that i am after a really cheap knife to practise bushcraft and survival techniques.i have seen a knife called a 'mil-tec 2000 m' it is supposeedly a copy of the kampfmesser KM2000 issued to the german army.it has a combined serrated/flat edge blade and it looks quit heavy duty. I have been unable to find out anything about mil-tec knives.what i want to know is,will it fall to pieces at the first sign of any abuse? I dont mind having to sharpen it frequently.

I would get yourself a mora, for a cheap user (cheap in price, not in quality) they just can't be beat for outdoor activities in my opinion!
