So I was bombing around on [a non BF-dealer web site], checking out some budget blades when I happen upon this. Odenwolf W Catcher, claims to be D2. Honestly, it’s pretty nice for the money. Looks like a clone of some Puma IP knives, made from better steel, if indeed it is D2, and has a good HT. Hair popping sharp out of the box. Light in the hand, too. Company also claims full tang, but nothing short of tearing off the handle or X-rays could prove the claim. Still, if everything’s legit, really good bang for your buck.

Agree that it is hard to think of other actual uses for that blade. Not that there needs to be an actual use for a blade in order to enjoy it.
