This photo was presented in a recent news article. Some guy in Utah ran a ponzi scheme and used the proceeds to buys lots of cars and motorcycles, including this really dumb idea:

Anyone recognize the specific knife? Described as a "bowie" knife in the article, it looks to me like a cheap-o fantasy import, like those sold at BudK and elsewhere.

NYTimes article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/08/us/08auction.html?ref=us

But to car buffs, there is another question, as pressing as Mr. Mowen’s guilt or innocence: What sort of person could really love a tricked-out three-wheeled motorcycle with Bowie knives on each side of the gas tank and rows of razor blades on the handle bars?
“Remember the ‘Mad Max’ movie?” said Rob Olson, the owner of Erkelens & Olson, an auction house in Salt Lake City, referring to the postapocalyptic road movie from the 1970s and its hyper-stylized punk imagery. “That’s what this bike is like. If you ever fell, it would cut your head off

You've got to read the user reviews, pretty much anything on that website with a user review is going to be good for a laugh.

I never noticed the user reviews before you mentioned it. I'm practically rolling on the floor reading that stuff.

It was very sharp and very authentic.

Authentic?!?

The handle is made of leather which surprised me, because I was thinking it would have been made of plastic.

Uh... I'm pretty sure it's rubber. Says so right in the description.

These is very well built it is strong enough to be used as a shield with offense cutting. These are SO sharp I have cut myself several times I have two. These look good as well and so for show these are well worth it but you can use it. It gets the most attention in my collection. They cut themselves as well LOL.

There was a really funny one but I can't find the product, I guess they got rid of it.

I got it for my best friend who is in love with romantic idea of civalry. It is an excelent sword for the price. It is also a lot of metal, you get an apreciation for how beefy the knights must have been to swing these in a fight one handed. It is 420 steel, meaning its too hard and brittle to be so big, so you should hold it over a campfire for a few minutes to temper the steel near the hilt if you plan to hack things with it. I give it a 4 because it wasnt a convincing recreation to me.
