WTF?

I thought CS blades were cheap.

I was looking at some beaters to keep in the car/shed/toolbox and use around the yard.
The CS GI Tanto seems incredibly sturdy. (see the video review by Blackforestghost).

Via Amazon I wandered into the Budk website. Mall Ninja heaven off course.

A five dollar survival knife?
A 2 dollar boot knife?
A three dollar folding knife?

Really?

The thing is, I can actually imagine a ten dollar fixed blade being a reliable beater, if the construction was simple and the metal not too crappy.

Are these things alloy wall hangers for mall ninja's, or can you actually use them?

Do they make them themselves in Pakistan or something, that might explain the ridiculous price.

You could spend the 5-10 bucks on one and find out!

I've never been compelled to do so.

One of the most evil practical jokes ever played on me, was when a 'pal' got me on their mailing list......................

One of my daughters bought me one for a birthday or christmas or something. For box opener and fingernail knife it is fine. Kinda got guilted into using it!!!

DOc

I got one of their fixed blades. Let's just say it is a minimal tang, and the blade does not always meet the handle. Dull. I'm learning to free hand sharpen and it works great as a learning tool for that purpose.
