Got a couple of those #XL112 PERMANENT MATCH keyrings from BudK but can't get them to work. I take it you have to fill them with lighter fluid? Probably just junk as cheap as they are? Thanks all.
 
i have one...
you need to pour fuel into the little chamber that the match screws in :thumbup:
fuel doesnt evaporate but performance imo is mediocre :rolleyes:

even if it doesnt work you'll still be able to throw sparks with it :D
 
the "match" that screws out has a striker with a wick on each side on the tip (when screwed in its housing the wick sits in the fuel you poured into the hole)... you use that to strike the ferro rod on the side and poof you got a metal match :thumbup:
