If anyone in Bladeforum Land has ever heard of this Maker(s) please send me a message. Trying to set up a IMAGUR account to post pictures. Have feeling not a well known maker late 1700s-early 1800s. I know Abel Buell was a well known mapmaker and M1798 swords from Conn. Maybe i can send pictures to the few who may know. Blade has faint cursive inscription Buell & (cant make out the rest. Thanks Clay

Forgot to mention we can’t talk values either if you aren’t a gold member.

hope you get it figured out I’m looking forward to seeing it, and seeing what we can figure out.

Try laying a piece of paper over the print and use a crayon or a shading pencil to see if you can bring anything else out!! Good luck!
First letter looks like an L to me.

Tried that trick but so light wouldnt pull it out. The blade is 4 inches. First letter Is A Capital B with a sweeping line off top. Knife is total 8.5 Wood handle
