Just got a buffalo soldier, they're kinda strange lookin at first, but when you handle it i found it to be an excelent designed blade. i'M thinking of half stripping it for a user, was curiuos what i might find under the coating. Were the blades from that period ruff, smooth? any help would be appreciated, thanks.
 
Well i went ahead and stripped her,not bad under there, pretty much just your tipical infi lines, the more i play with this knife the more i like it, i,ll post pics when i'm done with her.
 
Id love to see some pics of it when your done. The Buffalo Soldier has caught my eye for some time. Not only because of the unique look but because its a chance to get ahold of that handle configuration in a very usable sized knife.
