Well, I finished up my SFNO this morning. I could not find any metal polishing compound and I did not want to buy any (I have to save my money for the HOG FBM:D ). Coincidently, I saw my brother polishing his metal models with toothpaste and a light bulb went off. So, I grabbed a buffer (the kind you put on the end of the drill), the knife and a tube of toothpaste. I used my left hand on the drill and used my right to steady the knife. The process does not take alot of toothpaste but the difference (before and after) is noticeable.

I think it looks really good and will make a fine user! :D

Edited to add: Please don't ask why the pics are different sizes because I am trying to find out myself.

Very nice. Was the toothpaste ADA approved :D Toothpaste does work good for polishing. While not as aggressive as metal polish, it appears to have done the trick.

Looks good Peter !!!

I noticed a few naked  Busse's show up after you striped yours, You've got me thinking.

Toothpaste is great stuff for getting small scratches out of plastics and soft metals, looks like it works for INFI too !

I used toothpaste to get the Fogo stains out of my LMS, figured if it worked on my teeth .. oh never mind, it did work on the knife. ;)

I use toothpaste to polish my sterling silver "Smith & Wesson" belt buckle. Does a great job!

Looking good there Peter La. I have to say that to me the Special Forces Natural Outlaw is one of the nicest models of all... Any idea if the Company Store will ever put one on sale...? :D

Dahsyat and Hank, the SFNO has already been offered, and will not be back up from the shop until next time around, which should be next year or so.

Peter, why are your pix all different sizes??

Good job on the polish job. Flouride or ultra whitening??
