Hi All,

Does anybody have a recommended method of buffing scratches out of NS bolsters? I threw my keys into the same pocket with my new slippie and I'm not ready to surrender to scratches just yet.

Thanks

Take a trip over to Wilfred some Saturday and I'll shine that thing up for ya. :D

Actually if you have a bench grinder or a drill press you can put on a muslim or cotton buff wheel and a little white buffing compound will more that likely smooth out minor scratches. You'll have to speed the drill press up to max and it will take longer but it should work.

(Sears and Lowes has the stuff)

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to spin by Lowe's this weekend to get some buffing compound. Hey is Wilfred where Tony Bose is from? I'm planning on going to Colts camp for a day or two this Summer. Maybe I'll give you a shout and bring a blade or two by to be touched up.

Thanks Again

I would be cautious to avoid around the pin area. Sometimes the pin is softer or harder than the bolster you will end up with a round divot in the middle of the bolster.

If the scratches are superficial enough, you can rub 'em out with a jeweler's rouge cloth and bit of thumb grease.
