I have two questions #1 What types of wheels and compounds do you find you use the most in knifemaking and handle work. #2 How many of you use leather wheels or paper wheels to sharpen?

I try to do most of my work with belts but when I have to buff I use circualar sewn buffs with 1/2" spacing between rows of stitching.

I use green stainless steel "cut and colour" buffing compound on metal and dark woods and white "chrome colouring" compound on light woods to avoid staining as much.

I use a cardboard wheel with green compound for stropping blades after sharpening on a worn out 180 grit belt.
