Hey Folks! Got a new YouTube project I've been working on for a long time at considerable expense. Got a few knives in there to look at too! I hope you enjoy my efforts and please let me know if you have any comments or questions. I appreciate your support!

Looks cool Bro, good to see you getting out and enjoying yourself. I look forward to the series, hopefully its skill and gear orientated.

I liked it. I really like the pants and the coat you had. Your pack is pretty small for not much in there for what looks like a long term situation.
It looked like to me that you really did not have very many rounds. I was just reading yesterday at this site.

Read though it and check out what is load out. In one area John talks about having 12, 30 round mags loaded up and on in his AR rifle.
That is just under 400 rounds. If you were to make contact with others and it turns bad
just getting out of there and shooting at there location as you move to get away you can shoot up a lot of ammo.

John also likes the Glock 19 for his side arm plus a bunch of spare mags loaded also.

His set up is roughly in the 30 pound range depending on the season. That includes 2 weeks of food.

Again I liked you video:thumbup:. When you get another one done please post it.

I liked the video.

my only comment is that you should show how to sanitize water instead of water packets.

Yes, you're right! It's the GoRuck Echo, and I love it! I wanted to show a small bug out bag, that you didn't need a 60 liter bag worth of stuff to get by.

That looks like a very interesting link.
I haven't read it yet, but I can offer some info.

Note that I'm not arguing or even debating, just offering some info from personal experience.

I can agree on a 30# load including two weeks of food, but I don't know whether that includes guns & ammo. (Again, I haven't read the link yet.)

A loaded AR15 30rd 5.56mm mag weighs about a pound. A loaded G17 mag weighs about 12oz. A G19 weighs a little less.

That's at least twenty pounds of G&A with about 8.5# of G and at least 12# of A with twelve loaded rifle and three loaded pistol mags.

Here are some round numbers on what I typically carry which does not include G&A.

3. Pack
3. Shelter
2. Sleeping Bag & Pad
6. 3L of H20
1. Water Treatment(s)
1. Stove & Accessories
10. Food for two weeks
6. First Aid, Tools, etc., etc.

That's over 30# of stuff, and it really isn't much. I'm fairly minimalist but "safe". He's probably more of a minimalist.

Thanks for the link; I'll enjoy reading it.

Yea Bill you are welcome, that is just the pack. He also carries a bullet proof vest level 3 and then his Battle AR -15 His summer load is like that. Winter is heaver. I think in the 40 or so pound range.

I really like these bags and the new colors they have but the lack of a waste strap always holds me back from getting one. Cool video btw

I'm not sure what to think about this yet. But I was expecting you to lick the blade of your knife after putting on the war paint. Fingerless gloves are awesome too. :p

Where are you going with this from that first video? An instructional video? Different scenarios while bugging out? Or a fictional story about a guy bugging out? Is it a serious bug out video series or entertainment only?

Nicely done video! One thing that struck me was the hood you were wearing. I think you would want your peripheral vision in such a situation.
I liked it, and will be watching for more.
