It really depends on what you're bugging out from and where you're bugging out to. My daily bag is much different than my SHTF bag (which isn't a bag but a large Igloo cooler with wheels that goes in the bed of my truck). In my daily bag I carry some small food items, a water bottle with a filter attached, a flashlight with extra batteries, a small survual kit (Adventure Medical's Doug Ritter kit), small first aid kit with extra medications, an Esbit stove, a small cooking tin with Spork and my poncho with liner. Everything else I carry on me all the time anyway.
