I've got that book and one of my old favorite haunts in Nepal was the "Bugles and Tigers" bar atop the Everest Hotel out in Naya Banaswor. There was a time the bar would stand your first drink if you were past or present military of any variety from any country. I got one free drink and paid too much for the next 3 or 4 thousand.
