Bugout Day for Father's Day

I received a Bugout as a gift and had already ordered some Rogue Bladeworks CF Scales. I like Carbon Fiber. I really like the Carve version. It gives them more character and they look a little like the 940 (My favorite knife).

I made a Mini Satin blade with Rogue Carve CF scales which actually weighs 1 gram less than the standard Mini (Surprise!)

A regular satin blade with the Rogue Carve CF scales that weighs 1-2 grams more than a standard Bugout.

Swapped a Satin Blade ( i do not like how black gets all scratched up) into my factory CF Elite scales (lightest of all at 1-2 grams less than a standard Bugout)

With the parts I had left over I made a Florida Gators style Bugout of brand new parts that I can sell to recover some funds.

Fun way to spend the afternoon.

I love Bugouts. I am hoping they come out with some more affordable versions with better steel. Are there any hints of anything planned?

I’ve always thought the Bugout has a decent steel (S30V), with a decent price-point.

I’m curious about this as well

I actually sharpened my Blue Bugout (fullsized) today, it sharpens well, takes and edge, and holds and edge.
 
Nothing wrong with S30V actually. Just having fun swapping. Changed my 940 to 20CV from S90V. Missed the last special addition with the goofy butterfly scales. They are crazy expensive on the resale market.

I haven't had experience with the new Benchmade DLC but some of my previous black blades looked horrible. ApostleP the sharpening expert made comments about being disappointed with Benchmades DLC. It was interesting that the new M4 Super Freek and Bailout have Cerakote.
