I am considering a custom Bugout with titanium handle. I've heard that ones with plastic handle tend to flex and can feel a little "cheap". Would titanium solve the problem? How about the G10 or CF handles? Also, how does titanium affect the overall weight? Opinions please?

Because I like the Bugout a lot I have three. But I simply can not live with the original grivory scales so I have Micarta, G10 and CF.
Any of these materials including of course Titanium will solve the issue of the "soft flexing" original scales.
And because these are all solid the Bugout feels like a different knife in the hand. My 3 scales add hardly any weight at all.
I tried Aluminum scales but they added more weight than I wanted, so Titanium ones might do so as well.

I honestly love the titanium scales on the bugout it's worth the added weight for me...not a fan of grivory at all...I have 2 sets of titanium scales one flytanium and one RSD

I prefer G10 scales over titanium on the Bugout. They seem more true to the design and feel, without adding much weight.
Ive been happy with G10 from Flytanium and Knives Plus.

Well I decided to save a lot of weight and money and got one of the best deals out there now - the Blade HQ Custom Bugout with G10 handles and 20CV steel - love it!

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I actually don't mind the FRN or "grivory" handles. They are *slightly* flexible, but I only ever notice this when I deliberately try to squish the scales together, and it takes a decent amount of force to actually bend them significantly. In use, it's not an issue. That said, I think every other material looks better, and I keep thinking of getting one or two more bugouts, so I can have one with titanium scales, one with G10, maybe one with micarta...

The FRN is not the most grippy material though, and titanium will be even less so. Keep that in mind.

That’s the same one I got, and then put the Flytanium crossfade scales on. It’s a perfect build, IMO. Just $80 for those scales, and they’re internally milled for weight reduction.
