Buhl and Sons hewing axe

I found a nice Buhl and Sons hewing axe. Does anyone know any info on the company other than it is Detroit hardware company.
 
That's all I know. I've found a couple of regular Buhl &Sons axes in SW MI that seem to have been nickel-plated.
